Phase 1: Formalize Vision & Strategy
- Clearly define Citizen Gardens’ mission, core values and ethical principles aligned with multiplicity philosophy
- Develop comprehensive theory of change for how the organization will create positive societal impact
- Articulate goals, target beneficiaries, geographic scope for programs/services
- Determine strategic pillars (e.g. research, education, community development, policy advocacy)
Phase 2: Establish Legal & Operational Foundation
- Incorporate as a non-profit entity (likely 501(c)(3) charity in the U.S.)
- Draft bylaws, policies, and operating procedures
- Recruit founding board of directors with relevant expertise
- Secure minimum start-up funding through grants, donations, etc.
- Set up basic infrastructure (office space, technology, vendors, etc.)
Phase 3: Program Development & Partnerships
- Design and prototype initial flagship programs/services (e.g. multiplicity theory courses, community labs, publications)
- Develop strategic partnership model to collaborate with universities, companies, other nonprofits
- Identify key influencers, thought leaders, domain experts to engage as advisors
- Conduct user research to refine offerings based on stakeholder needs
- Launch pilot programs, evaluate effectiveness, and iterate
Phase 4: Talent Acquisition & Team Building
- Recruit passionate, transdisciplinary talent as employees and volunteers
- Implement professional development paths to upskill the multiplicity philosophy
- Build out functional areas (programs, marketing/comms, finance, operations, etc.)
- Cultivate an organizational culture embodying multiplicity principles
- Expand advisory council with diverse lived experiences and expertise.
Phase 5: Large-Scale Deployment & Impact
- Implement targeted marketing/outreach campaigns to grow awareness and participation
- Pursue sustainable revenue models (grants, individual donors, enterprise activities)
- Continuously measure and optimize against key impact metrics
- Explore integration of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, quantum computing, etc.)
- Influence policy and systemic change by democratizing multiplicity frameworks
- Establish global presence through partnerships, chapters, events
